Associations appoint new CEOs and Presidents

The Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) has elected Adjunct Professor John Kelly AM as its new CEO.

Kelly was appointed by the Federal Government to the position of Commonwealth Aged Care Commissioner in 2010 and is currently the Director and Chairman of UnitingCare Ageing in NSW and ACT. He will commence his new role at ACSA in April.

The AFL Players’ Association has announced the appointment of Luke Ball as its President, replacing Luke Power who stepped down from the role at the association’s 2012 Annual General Meeting.

Luke Ball joined the board in 2007 and will transition from his role as Vice President to President. The position of Vice President will be filled by Matthew Pavich who has been a board member since 2010.

Jennifer Fitzgerald has been appointed CEO and spokesperson of Scope, one of the largest not-for-profit organisations in Australia that supports people with a disability.

Fitzgerald has more than 30 years of experience in the disability, health, aged care and community sectors.

Most recently, she was Group Manager for Allied Health and Community Programs at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, and previously spent eight years at Ballarat Health Services as Clinical Manager.
