Red Nose announces the launch of its Red Nose Clothing Collection program in Sydney.
With spring just around the corner, this is the perfect time for Sydneysiders to declutter their wardrobe by donating pre-loved clothing to Red Nose’s free pick-up service.
Not only will Sydney communities be doing their part to help reduce landfills, they’ll also be making a difference to support grieving families and help save little lives.
Red Nose Chairperson, Nick Xerakias, highlighted that the clothing collection program, which has successfully been running in South Australia and Victoria, is now making its way north of the border.
“At Red Nose, we are committed to sustainability – which is vital for future generations and a cleaner planet for our children,” said Xerakias.
“Following a strong six-month trial in several local government areas of Sydney, we are proud that our free clothing collection service is now available in metro Sydney.”
Xerakias added that donating your pre-loved clothes has now become easier and more convenient with our free online and pick-up service – our collection vans come to you.
Red Nose Clothing Collection State Manager for NSW and SA, Alex Coles added that Red Nose is able to provide this free service, which last year saved 1,470 tonnes of items from going to landfill.
“We recently surveyed over 400 people with 27% of respondents stating they regularly donated clothes with our current collection services in Melbourne and Adelaide,” said Coles.
“The survey also revealed that 56% of respondents were looking for simplicity and ease, especially when donating clothes,” she added.
Red Nose Clothing Collection pickups are now available in the following local government areas:
- Blacktown City (Arndell Park, Blacktown, Bungarribee, Doonside, Eastern Creek, Huntingwood, Lalor Park, Minchinbury, Mount Druitt, Prospect, Rooty Hill, Seven Hills, Toongabbie and Woodcroft)
- Burwood
- City of Canada Bay
- Canterbury-Bankstown
- City of Parramatta

While the current focus for the collection service is pre-loved and unwanted brand-new clothing, Red Nose’s Clothing Collection service has plans to expand to other items in future years.
