Reventon, a Melbourne-based property investment firm, is redefining philanthropy with its innovative Brick by Brick Charity Build initiative. The company will auction a fully furnished luxury family home in Mount Duneed, Victoria, on 8 December 2024, with all proceeds—estimated at $1 million—donated to St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria (Vinnies) to support homelessness programs.

This ambitious project, in partnership with Hermitage Homes, delivers not just a stunning residence but a lifeline for Australians struggling with housing insecurity. The funds will be directed towards Vinnies’ essential services, providing hope and security to countless individuals and families facing hardship.

The property at 273 Boundary Road, Mount Duneed is a thoughtfully designed five-bedroom family home featuring modern amenities, including:

  • A ground-floor guest suite and four additional bedrooms.
  • Three versatile living spaces, including a formal lounge and media room.
  • A gourmet kitchen with premium appliances.
  • Outdoor alfresco entertainment areas.
  • Energy-efficient, sustainable design features.

Reventon’s CEO, Chris Christofi, a long-time advocate for homelessness initiatives, describes the project as a mission to create transformative change.
“This project is more than just a house; it’s about building hope,” Christofi said. “Every dollar raised will help provide essential services to those in need.”

Homelessness continues to rise in Australia, with over 122,000 people currently experiencing housing insecurity. In Melbourne, the housing crisis is compounded by escalating living costs and a shortage of affordable options.

Funds raised from the Brick by Brick auction will directly support Vinnies’ services, such as meals, housing assistance, and emergency support for vulnerable Australians. A spokesperson for Vinnies Victoria highlighted the impact of the initiative: “Just $75 can feed a family for a day; the funds raised from this home will make a huge difference for many struggling Australians.”

The Brick by Brick Charity Build was conceived by Christofi, inspired by his years of fundraising for homelessness through efforts like the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, where he has raised over $800,000 to date.

Reventon invested approximately $600,000 in land and construction, with the property’s auction expected to generate between $900,000 and $1 million. The initiative also showcases the power of partnerships, with Hermitage Homes providing expert development and styling of the home.

“We couldn’t have realised this vision without the incredible support from Vinnies and Hermitage Homes,” said Christofi.

The auction welcomes both in-person and online bidders. Reventon invites buyers, community members, and supporters of Vinnies to participate in this opportunity to own a beautiful home while contributing to a meaningful cause.

The auction will take place on 8 December 2024 at 12 PM, with all proceeds going directly to Vinnies Victoria.
