Christmas is ‘the season’ for AuSAE members

If you are not currently a member and you are an association executive, then now is a good time to join.
Unlike many other not-for-profits, AuSAE’s financial year follows the calendar year, and membership renewal occurs in December.
The board of AuSAE is proud of its achievements in 2010, with some significant headway being made in the area of ratifying the professional competencies of the Australian Association Executive (AAE).
Recent talks with the University of Canberra and the Office of the Prime Minister have revealed that AuSAE is well on the way to establishing the AAE as the Australian standard of association competencies.
AuSAE will also launch the new Australasian Society of Association Executives in the national capital from 14-15 April 2011. This merge of the Australian and New Zealand societies establishes a significant representative body of association executives in the southern hemisphere. Be prepared to go to Canberra in April to take part in the festivities.
There has never been a better time to become an AuSAE member, and with no joining fee, it’s a happy new year, in more ways than one.
