The Australasian Railway Association‘s (ARA) new Chair, Tanner, will be the first independent Chairman of the ARA, following on from current Chair John Fullerton who is stepping down but will remain a member of the board.
Tanner was formerly Federal Minister for Finance and Deregulation, a Shadow Minister in such portfolios as Transport, Finance and Communications and a State Secretary of the Federated Clerks Union.
Petersen, who joins the Board of the Banksia Foundation, has been the CEO of Sustainable Business Australia since 2011. He has held previous roles as a legal advisor on matters relating to environmental risk, law and policy including climate change.
Petersen is a qualified solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW, solicitor of the High Court of Australia, Affiliated Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and former Director/Company Secretary of Environment Business Australia.
The Footpath Library‘s first General Manager, Price, has held positions as Chief Operating Officer with Adults Surviving Child Abuse, Business Development Manager for Circulations Audit Board and General Manager of the Exhibition and Event Association.
The Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka‘s new Director, Smith, has a background in ICT, television and broadcasting having been chief Executive of the New South Wales Film and TV Office and General Manager of International Development at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
