Gymnastics Australia’s new CEO, Rendell, previously worked with Football Federation Victoria. Rendell will focus heavily on the journey towards the 2016 Olympic Games as well as increasing grassroots participation through Gymnastic Australia’s LaunchPad initiative, which seeks to promote lifelong participation in sport and physical recreation through fundamental gymnastics activities.
Rendell replaces former CEO Catherine Clark who helped to secure increased funding for gymnastics, strengthening relationships with state associations and implementing national participation initiatives and high performance systems.
Murray brings more than 20 years of experience in the community sector to her new role as CEO of Suicide Prevention Australia. She has held positions with responsibility for education, media, communications and fundraising. Murray led the National Breast Cancer Foundation for ten years and created the George Foundation for Global Health.
Schwartz is the new Chair of the not-for-profit organisation replacing the Australian Business Arts Foundation and Artsupport Australia, which aims to attract private sector support through philanthropy, sponsorship and business for the arts and creative sectors.
Schwartz is currently the Director of Qualitas Property Partners, former President of the Melbourne International Arts Festival and Officer of the Order of Australia in recognition of her contribution to business, commerce, community and the arts.
