UCA Funds Management has recently announced it’s new Director of Investments Benjamin Pedley.

Pedley has over 20 years’ experience in financial markets, he was previously Head of Investment Strategy, Asia, for HSBC Private Bank based in Hong Kong.

Pedley was also a Managing Director at LGT Bank in Hong Kong and Head of Investments at UBS Wealth Management Australia.

“Coupled with their longevity and credibility, I was attracted to UCA Funds Management because of their demonstrated genuine interest in their investors and what is meaningful to them,” said Pedley.

“We are on the cusp of a significant generational shift, and today’s investor wants to talk to fund managers with values that are more societally driven.

“Doing the right thing and receiving investment returns are no longer mutually exclusive. We can now talk about ethical investments providing viable returns for investors.”

Pedley said that one of the interesting trends to emerge with his engagement with ‘millennials’ in recent years is their keen interest in corporate sustainability and a values-based approach to all aspects of life.

“This reinforced the likely increased interest in the ethical space and how important it is to have relationships with investors,” Pedley said.

Pedley is also a financial market commentator for CNBC, Bloomberg, Sky and BBC.

UCA Funds Management CEO Michael Walsh said, “Benjamin’s experience provides us with insights into ethical financial investment on a global scale.”
