The McGrath Foundation has been named as the official charity partner for the upcoming Bloomberg square mile relay in Sydney. The event, will be held in Darling Harbour Wednesday, the 16th of March.

The event joins the established global race series made up of London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai events. Pitching the city’s finest corporate organisations against one another, the Bloomberg square mile relay will see firms competing for pole position as they weave their way through the 1.6 km Darling Harbour closed running route. As the official charity partner for the event, the McGrath Foundation will receive a $10,000 donation to help fund and develop their work across the country.

“We are absolutely delighted that the McGrath Foundation has agreed to be our charity partner. The spirit of the Bloomberg square mile relay has always been anchored in giving back to the community blended with camaraderie, health and well-being, and fun. Bloomberg has been a long term supporter of breast cancer awareness and this partnership builds on the work we have done locally and globally,” said Emily Gordon, Head of Bloomberg Australia & New Zealand.

“We are thrilled the Bloomberg square mile race has selected the McGrath Foundation as its official charity partner. It’s through community fundraising events like this, that we are able to continue to help place McGrath breast care nurses in communities across Australia who provide invaluable support to families who need it most,” said Tracy Bevan, McGrath Foundation Ambassador & Director.

With a focus on supporting local charities, the winning team will also walk away with $10,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.
