Born in Manchester, UK, Helen Beeby worked as a newspaper journalist for 16 years before diversifying into freelance PR, copywriting and media design. In 2008 she moved with her husband and three sons to Florida, USA, for him to fly helicopters professionally before all relocating to Melbourne, Australia, in 2010. Here she embarked on a career shift into fundraising. She developed broad skills across major gifts, appeals, community fundraising, and finally specialised in Gifts in Wills. For nine years, she worked in international development, community services, the arts and health before taking up the role of Campaign Director at Include a Charity in December 2021. In addition, Helen is the editor of the monthly Net Work magazine for the Uniting Church of Australia. And after a visit to North India in 2012, she became the chief fundraiser (voluntary) for a Woman & Child Community Health Clinics program in Punjab and has led six guest tours to see the project in action. Her strengths lie in team building, relationship management, event planning, networking, acquisition, cultivation, stewardship and retention. She is also fully conversant with Wills & Estate Management needs and activities.
