Carole Renouf has been appointed as the new CEO of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
Renouf has spent the last five years as the CEO of the Garvan Research Foundation, and has previously led marketing, communications and fundraising teams at the University of New South Wales and WWF Australia.
“I am excited to take up the leadership position at the NBCF at this point in its organisational history,” Renouf said.
“I look forward to learning from the NBCF community and to working with all our members to fashion an even stronger future.”
The Australian Library and Information Association has appointed Vanessa Little as its new Vice President, and Kathryn Cass and Joseph Cullen as new directors.
Little is currently the Director of Libraries ACT, Cass is the Coordinator of library operations at Marrickville Library and History Services, and Cullen is the Chief Executive of the Eastern Regional Libraries Corporation, which is Victoria’s largest public library.
All three will serve on the board from May 2011 to May 2013.
Doug McMillan has been re-elected unopposed as the small fleet (2-5 truck) representative on the Australian Trucking Association General Council.
A new owner driver representative will also be elected to the ATA General Council in an election commencing this week.
Executive Director of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO) Don Baxter will be stepping down to focus on advocacy work in the developing world.
