Applications from communities with a population of 10,000 or less will receive priority.
The total annual pool of funding is $250,000 and grants of up to $10,000 are on offer to small rural and regional not-for-profit organisations for projects and activities that directly benefit the ageing population in their community. Requests from individuals or families will not be considered.
Applications that support the following areas of interest will be given preference:
– The majority of the beneficiaries of grants should be in financial hardship;
– The beneficiaries of grants should be aged people, and especially people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease;
– Projects that help redress disadvantage caused by remoteness;
– Grants may range from $100 up to $10,000.
Applicants will be required to submit a project and financial report on completion of the project with progress reports requested from time to time.
