Numerous businesses are giving back to local communities in Cambodia by donating funds to the Hope and Human Association.
International Day of Charity is just around the corner and Australian businesses donating their profits to charity organisation Human and Hope Association Inc. (HHA).
From September 2 to 8, HHA is bringing together businesses and consumers with a collective goal of empowering communities and reducing inequalities.
“To help Human and Hope celebrate International Day of Charity, and broaden our circle of friends, numerous businesses have jumped on board to donate a portion of their profits purchased between 2nd– 8th Septemberto our cause. The funds raised will support us in our work of lifting people out of poverty and providing learning opportunities to communities that empower them to build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities,”said CEO of Human and Hope Association, Sally Hetherington OAM.
It is hard for small charities to get noticed, so by participating in the HHA campaign, businesses such as South Australian publisher Elephant House Press won’t only be empowering communities but will help to build the small charity name within the Australian population.
“The main reason why I want to participate in this campaign, is all because of the fantastic book called ‘It’s Not About Me’ by the brilliant Sally Hetherington OAM. Truly opened my eyes on the issues with other major charities,” said Founder of Elephant House Press, Elizabeth Chapman.
Human and Hope Association is a charity formed to promote sustainability within the local community of Cambodia. The International Day of Charity campaign has been created to generate much needed funds and awareness for the charity.
