Impact100 offers $100,000 grant

Launched in March this year, Impact100 Sydney North is one of Australia’s newest Impact100 collaborative giving circles.
The group has chosen ‘young people at risk’ as the focus area for its inaugural $100,000 grant. The grant will be awarded to a charity helping young people in need in the greater Sydney region.
“Young people at risk is a theme that resonates strongly with our members,” said Impact100 Sydney North Chair Tina Jackson.
“The issues facing young people are many and complex, from poverty and homelessness, to mental health issues, alcohol and substance abuse, and domestic violence, sadly the list goes on.
“We want this to be a significant grant that will have an extraordinary impact on the receiving charity taking it to another level with substantial funding and meeting a compelling need. Although only one project will receive the $100,000 high impact grant, all finalists will benefit from raised public profiles, potentially attracting additional funding. We hope to exceed our target of 100 members so we can also give smaller grants to the finalists. The more members we have, the more we can give.”
Impact100 Sydney North will consider applications for projects that:
- benefit children and/or young people at risk (up to the age of 25)
- make a significant and measurable difference to the lives of young people in the greater Sydney region
- target a specific issue, for a specific duration, and with specific measurable goals to be achieved.
