Project Futures raised over $110,000 for the Somaly Mam Foundation to raise awareness in Australia of child sex trafficking,

Lorenzo’s invitation to the foundation’s largest fundraiser is global acknowledgment of her efforts to inspire Australian 20-somethings to get involved in the causes they care about through Project Futures.

Lorenzo is hopeful the extra publicity generated by the benefit dinner will boost Project Futures’ profile. “This event is a major step in the right direction for Project Futures, as we are in the process of looking for sponsorship for upcoming events and focusing on businesses with Gen Y as their target market,” said Lorenzo.

The dinner will be hosted by actress Sally Field, with the event committee including Susan Sarandon, Jane Seymour and Ron Livingston.
