World’s Biggest Garage Sale will be hosting their first-ever “bite-sized” open day on Saturday 27 March 2021. This garage-style resource recovery open day is a smaller version of the massive sales the social enterprise ran prior to finding a permanent home in Morningside.

The warehouse open day will feature sustainable bargains including furniture, stationery, fashion, office/home equipment, homewares and more at a fraction of the original price.

This open day event aims to re-activate stock in the economy, with some unique products, incredible bargains, hand-made upcycled items and everything sustainably sourced through repurpose, reuse and recycle. Savvy shoppers and bargain hunters looking for some sustainable & guilt-free retail therapy are expected to flock to the Morningside precinct.

CEO & Co-founder of The World’s Biggest Garage Sale Yas Grigaliunas said:

“This is a really exciting open day and a huge opportunity to reframe what was once considered waste or unusable into saleable and viable products for shoppers and showcase Australia’s first Circular Economy Precinct. We have some amazing products for sale, some that are resources recovered from our partners, others that have been sourced from the community, and others that our team have created by hand, using upcycled and recycled materials. All offer some really sustainable bargains for the conscious consumer.”

This bite-sized warehouse open day is a sustainable shopping bonanza born out of World’s Biggest Garage Sale’s mission to activate the circular economy by transforming waste, unwanted items and unused materials into saleable products. In addition to guilt-free shopping, workshops demonstrating circular economy will also be held.

World’s Biggest Garage Sale’s ‘bite-sized open day’ will take place in Building 3, 500 Lytton Rd, Morningside. Doors open at 8 am until 4pm or until sold out. Shoppers first need to register on their website to participate for the event.
