Workplace Giving Australia appoints new Chairmen

Workplace Giving Australia Limited announced the appointment of Nerida Caesar to the position of Chairmen of its Board of Directors.
Caesar’s appointment follows the retirement of Tony Harrington, AM. The board and leadership team sincerely thanked Harrington for almost 20 years’ of dedicated service to growing workplace giving across Australia.
“It has been a privilege to have been involved with Workplace Giving Australia for almost 20 years. During this time, through tax efficient direct payroll giving and employee donation matching by employers, workplace giving has grown to almost $80M annually, significantly benefiting charity,” said Harrington.
According to him, the organisation has a great foundation and an enormous potential. He hopes to see growth in this form of giving continue in the next 20 years.
“Nerida’s experience at the executive and board levels made her a standout choice for my successor and I am delighted to be handing over the baton to her. I know that she’ll continue to passionately champion the growth of workplace giving across Australia,” said Harrington.
Caesar joins the Workplace Giving Australia board with 30 years’ of broad-ranging commercial and business experience.
Nerida Cesar thanked Tony for his many years of service. “I am delighted to be joining Workplace Giving Australia. I’m a believer in this form of giving and have been associated with it during my career. I look forward to working with our corporate partners, charities and team to build upon the foundation and to have this as a standard form of giving for our country,” Cesad said.
