The community grant program aims to support and empower local not-for-profit organisations across QLD and NSW.
Tursa Employment & Training, a not-for-profit employment service provider and registered training organisation, has announced the launch of the $1 million TURSA Community Grant Program.
An initiative of the board of directors as part of TURSA’s 30th anniversary, it is designed to enhance the capacity of local not-for-profits to deliver impactful programs, strengthen support networks for vulnerable people and promote collaboration among community organisations and other stakeholders.
“This represents a significant investment back into the communities we serve,” TURSA Chairperson Glenn Costello said. “As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we believe it is fitting to support and recognise other local organisations that share TURSA’s passion for helping vulnerable individuals have a brighter future.”
Key details of the TURSA Community Grants Program are as follows:
- Grant amount: Up to $30,000 per grant or more
- Application deadline: 13 June 2025
- Notification of successful applicants: July – August 2025
- Eligibility criteria:
- Must be a registered not-for-profit organisation with the ACNC and an active ABN
- Operate within TURSA’s service areas across QLD and NSW
- Preferably have an annual turnover of less than $2 million
Company secretary Debbie Fry is delighted to have been part of a three-decade span working with a committed team that has built a responsive and successful not-for-profit organisation that focuses on supporting participants to access employment and training opportunities and related support services.
“The TURSA Community Grant Program is a key component of recognising our 30th Gala Year in June 2025 and a testament to TURSA’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact across communities,” Fry commented.
