New “market network” allows executives to turn time into money for NFPs

Executives seeking to generate funding for charities are now able to turn business meetings into money for the causes they care about.
A new platform Meetmagic connects executives with individuals and businesses willing to pay for the privilege of meeting with them.
CEO and founder Carl Gough of Meetmagic said that the platforms’ primary purpose is to help charities fundraise easily but it is also intended to shake up the corporate lead generation market by getting better results through altruistic connections.
“While working for another NFP, I discovered that I am driven by helping charities get funded. It’s a very hard task, a challenge that I took on and tried to come up with a better way to raise money rather than competing with 50,000 other charities for the dollar,” said Gough.
“Often charity boards are execs in the corporate world, so at the bare minimum, Charity CEO’s should be asking their boards to get involved and have a meeting, raise some funds, that’s adding value.
“My goal over the next 5 years, is generate 10,000 meetings per week in 10 cities and tip $250m into the charity sector. Ill be satisfied that peoples lives have been affected for the better.”
Optus Network Strategy Director Stuart Macintyre said that he was able to generate funds for the charity Good Return while having a regular business meeting with a technology company.
