The Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA), the peak body for professional fundraisers, has announced the appointment of Rob Edwards as its new CEO.

“Drawing on his many years of senior executive experience, the Board is confident Rob will successfully lead the FIA through a period of organisational change as we build stronger relationships with government, business and the media,” Orland said.

After 23 years of social innovation the founder of national not-for-profit social enterprise Infoxchange Andrew Mahar has announced he is stepping down from his role as Executive Director and CEO.

In announcing his decision Mahar said “the time is right for me to explore new horizons and for Infoxchange to flourish under new leadership. I have absolutely no doubt the timing is right both for me and for Infoxchange.”

Chairman of Infoxchange Lee Wapling said “During his time at the helm of Infoxchange, Andrew has helped to build a leading not-for-profit social enterprise, using information and communication technology to create positive social change.”

Wapling said “While Infoxchange will miss Andrew’s leadership we are also celebrating his impressive social contribution. Andrew has built a sustainable and robust business and played a vital part in putting Australia’s digital divide on the public policy agenda. He has also led the development of tools and solutions that help other community organisations use technology effectively.”

Mahar said the move will allow him to pursue his role as an advocate for Digital Inclusion in Australia.
