Amy Crawford, Donna Digby, Kylie Hansen and David Hardie’s appointment will strengthen the foundation’s governance.

The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) welcomes its new directors, namely Amy Crawford (ACT), Donna Digby (NT), Kylie Hansen (WA) and David Hardie (NSW), as it celebrates 25 years of supporting remote, rural and regional communities.

“We are thrilled to welcome our newest directors,“ said FRRR Chairman Tim Fairfax AC. I have every confidence that the leadership skills and strategic vision they offer will be invaluable, as we continue our work empowering local leaders to create vibrant, sustainable and resilient communities.

According to Fairfax, Crawford has over 20 years’ experience in the Australian public service, bringing a deep understanding of government policies and structures. Digby, on the other hand, brings a deep understanding of regional and remote Australia and is passionate about helping community leaders reach their leadership potential by drawing on her lived experience.

Meanwhile, Hansen’s strengths are sustainability, governance and harnessing impact measurement to support collaborative initiatives across sectors working to improve social outcomes. Finally, with extensive volunteer and philanthropy experience, Hardie is committed to listening, encouraging, and responding to those on the frontline of NFPs.

The skillsets of each new director support the organisation’s long-term vision and contribute to supporting community groups and strengthening their capacity and sustainability.

“Each of our new directors brings notable assets to FRRR, and I believe their input will be integral to shaping our organisation in the coming years. We are very fortunate to be able to draw on their substantial expertise and further strengthen our board,” Fairfax added.

In addition to Fairfax and the four directors mentioned, FRRR’s board members include Sue Middleton (Deputy Chair), James Flintoft, Anne Grindrod, David Mackay, William Myer and Georgie Somerset AM.
