Rachael Bausor joins WIRE as CEO

Women’s Information and Referral Exchange (WIRE) has appointed Rachael Bausor as its new CEO, commencing Monday 4 May.

Ms Bausor has extensive experience in both private and community sectors, and has managed staff and volunteers in the delivery of adult community and further education, childcare and aged care services.

She also has a background in financial and project management, information technology, partnership building and revenue diversification, and an MBA from London’s Open University.

Ms Bausor is passionate about women’s rights and an equal opportunity advocate.

Governance Institute’s CEO Tim Sheehy steps down

Tim Sheehy has announced he is stepping down from the role of Chief Executive at the Government Institute of Australia at the end of 2015. He has held the leadership position for 15 years.

“He has established this organisation as the leading independent voice for good governance in Australia and the leading advocate for a regulatory framework that ensures the integrity of the markets,” said Trisha Mok, President of the Governance Institute.

Mr Sheehy established the Governance Institute as a key founding member of the ASX Corporate Governance Council.

He also enhanced the organisation’s reputation as the leading independent voice on governance with a number of regulators and policy makers, such as: the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority the Australian Securities Exchange, the Attorneys-General and the federal department of Treasury.

Mr Sheehy will continue as Chief Executive until his successor is appointed.

Landcare Australia welcomes three new board members
Landcare Australia has announced the appointment of three new non-executive directors to its board; Adele Beachley, Natalie Collard and Jan Davis.

This update follows news of the retirement of three long-serving Directors; Alex Arbuthnot AM, Brigid Dowsett and Hume Macdonald.

Campbell Anderson, Chairman of Landcare Australia, has thanked the three former Directors for their efforts, and welcomed the new board members.

“Alex, Brigid and Hume have contributed greatly to the growth and development of Landcare Australia through their directorships, drawing on a diverse range of skills, and always working as keen champions for the Landcare community as a whole,” he said.

Together, the three new board members have a wealth of experience in agribusiness, marketing, fundraising, and natural resource management which will greatly benefit the organisation.
