Hywel Sims has been appointed as Director of Development at Musica Viva.
With 25 years of experience spanning fund and resource development, marketing and public relations, public affairs, program development, constituent cultivation and public speaking in the US, UK and Australia, Sims has been working in the performing arts sector since 2004.
Sims’ previous role as General Manager of Gondwana Choirs saw him increase individual and corporate fundraising income and raise the organisation’s profile nationally.

The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) appoints Cynthia Meehan and Kathy Szumanski as Deputy Executive Directors.
Meehan joins ENA in the new Deputy Executive Director, Member Relations role. Meehan brings to the role a strong background in association leadership with a majority of her career focused on membership and chapter relations.
Most recently Meehan held the role as Director of Member Development at Rotary International where she was responsible for the development and execution of strategic membership plans, member communication and marketing strategy and member technology programs.
Meehan will provide strategic leadership to ENA’s marketing, member services, component relations and IT departments. She will focus on strategic member initiatives such as member recruitment, retention and engagement.
Szumanski steps into the new Deputy Executive Director, Nursing role from her position as the Association’s Chief Nursing Officer.
In her new role, Szumanski will provide leadership and executive management to the Institute for Emergency Nursing Research, the Institute for Quality, Safety and Injury Prevention and the Institute for Emergency Nursing Education. Her clinical nursing expertise is instrumental to product development oversight and strategic leadership.

Creating these two new ENA staff positions at the most senior level provides targeted expertise and focus to our most critically important areas. We are thrilled that Cindy and Kathy will be serving as collaborative Deputy Executive Directors,” says Susan Hohenhaus, Executive Director, ENA.
