The Board of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) is delighted to announce the appointment of our new Chief Operating Officer, Mr Mike Milnes.
Mike has worked for over 20 years in publishing, predominantly the Legal Publishing industry with LexisNexis, where he held many different senior positions in the areas of finance and business systems. His roles ranged from head office roles through to leading individual business units and entire regions.
Originally from Ireland, Mike’s career at Lexis Nexis took him to 5 different countries, England, Germany, Austria, Australia & most recently Hong Kong. He is currently serving as the Interim Finance Director for Hachette Australia on a parental leave contact.
Seven years ago, Mike decided to call Australia home. In his new role, he is looking forward to learning about the countries and cultures of this land and to working closely with Ben to ensure the smooth operations of the ILF.
With his years of experience within the book and publishing industries, we believe that Mike is ideally placed to support Ben and our wonderful staff team to maximise the impact of our organisation. We wish Mike every success in his new role and are excited to work with him in this new chapter of the ILF story.
