Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Queensland calls on gamers to join the inaugural ‘Change the Game’ streaming fundraiser event in May.
RFDS (Queensland Section) unveils Change the Game, an innovative new fundraising initiative that merges gaming with philanthropy.
Throughout May, video game streamers will have the opportunity to rally their communities in support of the RFDS, raising vital funds to help deliver emergency healthcare to remote and regional communities across the state.
Gamers of all levels, from casual players to esports professionals, can sign up on Discord, stream their gameplay on Twitch and encourage their audiences to contribute to this essential cause through Tiltify.
By tapping into the power of livestreaming and interactive entertainment, RFDS Queensland is embracing the gaming community as a key partner in driving awareness and funding for life-saving aeromedical and primary healthcare (including mental health services).
“With Change the Game, we’re engaging a passionate and diverse community of content creators and streamers who are ready to align with our cause and make a real difference,” said Katherine Ash, RFDS Queensland Fundraising & Philanthropy Executive General Manager. “Every dollar raised helps us continue our mission to provide critical healthcare to those who need it most.”
Beyond innovative fundraising, the Change the Game fundraiser is part of a broader RFDS initiative to foster deeper engagement with the gaming industry.
The organisation is actively seeking key industry players to build meaningful collaborations in areas such as game development, digital gaming internships and flight simulator communities.
