The donation represents a life-changing contribution that will provide vital support to people in need across Australia.
Sherpa Property Group has fulfilled a major promise to Serving Our People, handing over the keys to a brand new $1.2 million two-bedroom apartment that has been completed within Sherpa’s Perspective Nexus development at Palm Beach.
The apartment was revealed for the very first time and officially handed over to Serving Our People on 8 October, with Sherpa Property Group and Serving Our People founders joining together to mark the occasion. This moment marked the beginning of an incredible journey that will enable Serving Our People to expand its support to even more families and communities.
Across Australia, Serving Our People runs 21 humanitarian programs, including The People’s Market, emergency relief and crisis support, a youth empowerment program (SOP-YEP), school breakfast programs, Goldbridge rehabilitation centre, SOP homeless lunches, domestic violence response and free counselling.
Serving our People Founder Yas Matbouly said the donation will make a profound difference to both the charity and the community.
“It is amazing to see that Sherpa has designed such a beautiful development. This donation from a developer like Sherpa is a big undertaking that will make a difference to our community in ways that will both feed and look after hundreds of thousands of recipients across our 21 humanitarian programs,” said Matbouly. “We hope to see more of the community getting together like this and hope to see the continued generosity of Sherpa and other like-minded philanthropists.”
Meanwhile, Sherpa Property Group founder Christie Leet said that community upliftment is paramount at Sherpa.
“This donation underscores our dedication to making a positive difference in the community,” said Leet. “Sherpa remains in true alignment with the values of Sherpas, with an unwavering commitment to serving people and our community and facilitating the journey of others.”
