The foundation welcomes two new female leaders and bids farewell to one.
Freemasons Foundation Victoria (FFV) is pleased to announce key changes to its leadership team as part of its broader organisational structure evolution, following a recent board review of its 2023–2028 strategy.
Sandra Jacobs is the new CEO
Sandra Jacobs’ appointment commences on 12 May. An experienced and highly respected philanthropic executive and social entrepreneur, Jacobs brings a wealth of knowledge across philanthropy, wealth management and community development.
“I am inspired by the foundation’s vision to build a stronger and healthier Victoria, and I am committed to ensuring our support is both thoughtful and impactful,” Jacobs said.
Jacobs’ executive leadership roles have included CEO at the Bennelong Foundation and the Self-Determination Fund. She is also the Founder and Chair of The Nappy Collective, a nationwide social enterprise supporting women and children affected by family violence. Before transitioning into the philanthropic sector, she spent 12 years at Morgan Stanley as a private wealth adviser.
“Sandra brings a powerful combination of strategic insight and sector knowledge,” said FFV Chairman Garry James. “Her leadership will be pivotal, as we expand our efforts to empower communities and create meaningful, long-lasting impact across Victoria.”
Joanna Walter is the new Finance Manager and Company Secretary
A chartered accountant with experience within ‘big four’ professional services advisors, the Department of Defence and private practice, Joanna Walter understands the ins and outs of the not-for-profit and start-up sectors. Her addition to the team will ensure strong financial stewardship and corporate governance.
Theresa Mangion ends stint as Marketing, Communications and Grants Manager
FFV extends its heartfelt thanks to Theresa Mangion for her integral role in various programs and wishes her continued success in her future endeavours. Her dedication has left a lasting impression on both the foundation and the broader Freemasons community.
These leadership changes signal a renewed focus on delivering thoughtful and purposeful charitable support and strengthening community involvement, contributing to a stronger and healthier Victoria for all.
