Since 2021, Waterford by AVID Property Group has been supporting the Top Blokes Foundation’s transformative mental health program for local high school students.

As part of its annual Sponsorships and Grants Program, Waterford by AVID Property Group has announced the continuation of its long-term partnership with the Top Blokes Foundation, awarding $10,000 for the charity to facilitate its youth mentorship program at Maitland Grossman High School in East Maitland.

As part of the organisation’s AVIDEngage community outreach program, grants are offered annually to deserving local organisations in need of a helping hand.

AVID Project Director NSW Danny Boubli said Waterford’s ongoing partnership with Top Blokes through AVID’s Sponsorship and Grants program mirrored the organisation’s mission of bringing people together by sharing a positive message with young people in the community.

“Top Blokes share Waterford’s mission of building a community where everyone can truly belong, and we’re thrilled to be supporting them in educating and lifting up the Maitland community for another year,” Boubli said. “Throughout the years, we’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact that the Top Blokes Foundation has had on the Waterford community – and we are absolutely thrilled to introduce more events and initiatives to support the Top Blokes in 2025.”

In Australia, young males have the lowest rate of seeking help for mental health issues of any demographic, with one in ten young Australian males experiencing suicidal thoughts and mental health-related issues, the second leading cause of mortality in the group.

Top Blokes Foundation NSW State Manager Daniel Allars said the organisation was proud to continue its tradition of spreading the message of positive masculinity and mental health awareness in the area.

“We’ve been active in the Maitland region for quite some time now, and we’ve seen some truly fantastic outcomes from our programs in secondary schools throughout the area,” Allars said. “The Top Blokes program is more than just a mentorship experience; it’s a way for young people in the community to take charge of the path they’re taking and make a lasting difference.”
