Huma Charity Challenge, the fundraising division of World Expeditions, has confirmed that it has raised five million dollars for dozens of charities across Australia since its inception in 2013.

Huma Charity Challenge provides charities and their community of fundraisers with the opportunity to take on a challenge in some of the world’s most incredible destinations.

This may be something like trekking to the base camp of Mt Everest, slogging it out on the Kokoda Track, scaling Mt Kilimanjaro or cycling the length of Vietnam.

Their commitment to signing up for a challenge invites friends, family members, colleagues and alike to donate to their fundraising efforts.

Through this approach, adventurous travellers have collectively raised much needed funds for a range of charities including Can Too, GI Cancer, R U OK?, Fred Hollows Foundation, OzHarvest and Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.

It is, as Huma Charity Challenges travellers will attest, an opportunity to take on a challenge in some of the world’s most incredible destinations while fundraising for their favourite charity.

“If you want to truly experience living and giving, get yourself on a Huma Charity Challenge. The challenges have varying grades and suit most people, amazing destinations and are great value for money with knowledgeable and friendly staff who look after you every step of the way. Don’t think it, just do it.” Indigenous Community Volunteers for Larapinta Challenge T. Marguels said.

According to Huma Charity Challenge organiser, Fiona Windon, undertaking a Huma Charity Challenge is beneficial on so many levels.

“When you sign up for one of our challenges, you are making a commitment to yourself to train and get physically and mentally fit, you are making a commitment to the charity to fundraise for their cause, and you are making a commitment to complete the challenge, whether it’s a trek, cycle or climb,” she said.

Whether it’s tackling an ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, hiking the Great Wall of China or trekking to Everest Base Camp, Huma Charity Challenge has a vast array of inspiring adventures and challenges that will help you discover your inner philanthropist.
