The grants program provides $5,000 to projects related to road safety, environment, crime prevention and emergency readiness and response. Over the past twelve years, the NRMA Insurance Grants program has contributed over $6.7 million to more than 1,550 community projects around the nation.
“Every day, thousands of Australians dedicate their time and energy to making our communities safer. The NRMA Insurance Community Grants program supports this by providing much needed funding and assistance to local community projects,” said Jennifer Cobley, NRMA Insurance spokesperson.
“Last year we supported a broad range of initiatives including projects that work to reduce youth crime, improve bicycle and pedestrian safety, strengthen disaster resilience and minimise recyclable waste in their communities. It’s great to see the fantastic work our grant recipients have done and the difference they have made in their communities.”
“We look forward to supporting many more projects this year, and encourage local community groups to apply,” said Ms Cobley.
