A new and innovative fundraising platform by ANZ is changing the way Australians can donate to Charities.

ANZ’s ‘Shout For Good’ is making fundraising easier and safer. By including the Apple Pay function within its iOS app, Australians are able to donate money instantly with one touch.

Shout For Good currently have 60 aligned charities that will be able to accept donations with Apple Pay.

Professor Sanchia Aranda, Chief Executive of Cancer Council Australia, said: “Digital giving plays a crucial role for Cancer Council in today’s increasingly cashless society. Innovative new solutions like Apple Pay make it easy for people to donate, helping to fund our vital work across cancer prevention, support, advocacy and research.

“We are extremely excited to be the first charity in Australia to be using this new digital giving model.”

A recent ANZ-commissioned survey of about 2,000 Australians revealed 43 per cent of respondents would have donated to a charity but didn’t have cash on them at the time or the ability to donate with contactless payments.

Online security and privacy were also mentioned as two of the primary concerns when making online donations with 69 per cent of Australians worried about giving away credit card details and 72 per cent concerned with the privacy of their personal information.

CEO for Shout For Good, Charlie Carpinteri, said: “We know more people want to donate without cash, so we are always looking at innovative payment solutions to help our charity partners succeed in the digital age.”

“ANZ is excited to be the first fundraising platform to bring Apple Pay to Australian Charities, as it will enable them to seamlessly update their fundraising efforts and accept cashless donations on their website through the Safari browser on Apple’s Mac computers, iPhones and iPads.”

Shout For Good guarantees the platform will not take any commission with all donations going directly to the Charity of the donor’s choice. Additionally, the platform has no setup fees to donate, fundraise, integrate or be listed as a Charity.

Some of the charities currently include Cancer Council Australia, Red Cross, World Vision, Save the Children, and Starlight Children’s Foundation, with more organisations expected to join in the next few months.

Cancer Council Australia will be one of the first to use the Donate with the Apple Pay feature this week for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on May 24.
