The budgeting and cashflow forecasting software is expected to allow smaller organisations to achieve similar, if not the same, productivity as their larger counterparts and free up resources that can be directed towards key services.
Many associations will be eligible to receive the software donation, which is the result of a partnership between Calxa Australia, DonorTec and TechSoup New Zealand.
New legislation coming into effect as of 1 July 2012 will affect the legal duties and penalties faced by board and committee members of incorporated associations. Calxa says that the key to minimising risk in the face of this legislation is being informed when making financial decisions and the software donation program will provide budgeting and cashflow forecasting software to assist NFPs do so.
