Soul Origin is harnessing its community spirit to fundraise $30,000 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation (Starlight) and help brighten the lives of seriously ill children, young people and their families.

As proud supporters of the charity, Soul Origin has pledged to raise an impressive $30,000 nationwide in just one week, which will give over 750 seriously ill children and their families access to Starlight’s Captain Starlight and Starlight Express Room programs.

While health professionals focus on treating illness, Captain Starlight turns a sick child’s pain, fear and stress into joy, fun and laughter. Captain Starlight works within Starlight Express Rooms, which provide a treatment free respite for sick kids and their families in all major children’s hospitals nationally.

Between Friday 15 September and Thursday 21 September, all Soul Origin stores will donate funds from every sale to Starlight.

Customers are encouraged to help Soul Origin reach the target by visiting their local store to enjoy a delicious snack from their range of nutritious food or enjoy a Barista-made coffee and feel good knowing they are helping give back.

Soul Origin’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris Mavris, said the Soul Origin family was dedicated to helping other families nationwide.

“We have made a pledge to raise $30,000 in just one week! It’s a huge goal but one we know that all our stores, team members and customers will be very excited to support and achieve,” Mavris said.

“We love having the opportunity to raise much needed funds for such a worthwhile charity, like Starlight. We are encouraging all our customers to get behind such a great cause next week and help Starlight continue to improve the hospital experiences of sick children and their families.

“Soul Origin loves what Starlight does in lifting the spirits of sick kids and their families, through programs such as Captain Starlight and the Starlight Express Room. They share our philosophy of making a difference for families through positivity and good experiences.”

The Aussie brand is continuing its commitment to helping young Australians through a range of charity and community initiatives.

“This fundraising campaign is one of many ways we’ve supported Starlight over the last year. We’re partnering with the NRL Footy Show’s ‘Big Change for Little Champions’ Telethon for the second year in a row, and we’re also honoured to support Starlight Day, fuelling volunteers with coffee and food,” Mavris said.
