Scroggie, who is the Vice President and Managing Director for the Pacific Region of the Symantec Corporation, will replace Jacob Van der Eyk, who held the Chairman post for three years.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead the association on the next phase of its growth. We have a very strong Board of Directors, who I look forward to working with, and a compelling value proposition to offer our members and the wider storage community as we extend our strategic plan.” Scroggie said.

“I am determined that we continue to grow our membership and provide the professionals in our region with the highest quality education and independent content to assist them in adopting new technology to manage their business data. I would also like to congratulate Jacob on his achievements in building the organisation and wish him well in his future career.”

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) is a global not-for-profit organisation made up of more than 420 active member companies, of which SNIA ANZ is a regional affiliate responsible for regional activities.
