Due date
The due date depends on your organisation’s reporting period – you must make sure that your reporting period is over before you start filling in your Annual Information Statement (AIS).
If your charity runs on a regular financial year, 1 July to 30 June, your reporting period ended on 30 June and you can submit your 2013 AIS. The deadline for completing the 2013 AIS is 31 December 2013.

Organisations with calendar year financial periods running from, 1 January to 31 December need to wait until after 31 December 2013 to submit the 2013 AIS. The deadline for completing the 2013 AIS is 30 June 2014.

Charities with a financial year running from 1 May to 30 April, will need to wait until after 30 April 2014 to submit the 2013 AIS. Your deadline is 31 October 2014.

Complete the AIS in 2 easy steps

  1. The ACNC has written to all registered charities to provide user names, the organisation’s ABN and password. If you haven’t received this letter, please contact the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC)
  2. You can complete and submit the 2013 AIS online via www.acnc.gov.au/2013AIS

Questions in the AIS ask charities about their activities, and how their work has helped the community. Charities do not need to provide any financial information in 2013.
