McCabe has a professional background in mental health nursing. She has worked for the past six years in the position of Executive Operations with TLC Aged Care, a provider of residential aged care with a large workforce.
“Alzheimer’s Australia’s aim is to build a world class dementia care system and I am privileged to have the opportunity to be part of this vision,” said McCabe.
“I am honoured to be joining such a committed organisation involved in work that impacts on the future of so many Victorians.”
McCabe will commence on 11 October 2010.
Alzheimer’s Australia Vic is the peak body representing people with dementia in Victoria. In Victoria 66,000 people have dementia with 53 new cases every day.
