National Third Sector leaders’ symposium – A must see event!

Share

Over the next ten years climate change, the skills shortage, an aging population and economic instability will have a direct impact on not-for-profit organisations. With the third sector employing 604,000 people and contributing $21 billion to Australian GDP, it will be vital that policies are introduced to ensure association members and stakeholders are able to meet these challenges.

On Tuesday 28 October not-for-profit leaders will meet in Melbourne and contribute their thoughts, opinions and ideas on how members and organisations can be influenced to make a difference.

This is not a talk fest, but a fully facilitated event with your peers where you will contribute to the thinking of how to influence members and organisations to make a difference. A very powerful group of presenters and facilitators have been assembled to help guide delegates through the day:

Professor Mark Lyons – a pioneer in the study of not-for-profit organisations and philanthropy in Australia and author of The Contribution of Nonprofit and Cooperative Enterprises in Australia.

Associate Professor Janette Lindesay – one of the world’s leading scientists in the areas of atmospheric science and climatology.

Federal Minister For Finance and Deregulation The Hon Lindsay Tanner – has a commitment to social justice and the third sector.

Professor Alan Powell JP Dean of Faculty for Commercialisation APUC, USA – with over 40 years of experience working with business leaders around the world, Alan will provide the tools to move your ideas to actions.

Minister Tanner has expressed a keen interest in gaining feedback from delegates. His session will encourage consensus responses to federal initiatives, but also encourage innovative thoughts and ideas with his request that discussions continue over lunch.
