Crewe, CEO of AIA Australia, has been appointed to the board of the Financial Services Council. After joining AIA Group in 1994, Crewe held a variety of senior executive roles throughout the Asia-Pacific region before being appointed as CEO for AIA Australia in December 2011.
Crewe has over 26 years’ experience across the life insurance, fund and superannuation industries, both in Europe and in the Asia-Pacific region, and is also a board member of the Australian Science Media Centre, an independent, not-for-profit service for the news media.
Gondwana Choirs has appointed Heard as General Manager, effective 28 April 2014. Heard has been General Manager for Sydney Youth Orchestras since August 2011.
Following teaching positions in public and private schools, she worked with the Sydney Symphony Education Program for ten years. Inspired by outstanding artistic leadership and mentoring, she completed a Churchill Fellowship in 2007, investigating models of training for emerging professional musicians, and contributed especially to the development of the Sydney Symphony’s Sinfonia and Fellowship Programs. She also participated in the Australia Council’s Emerging Leaders Program in 2012.
In addition, Energy Users Association of Australia (EUAA) has appointed Ranney as its new New South Wales Regional Manager. Ranney spent many years working for P&O and subsequently Vera Cold, when P&O’s logistics operations were taken over by the company. Ranney’s roles included responsibility for the companies’ energy procurement and management, and it was in this capacity that he was also their EUAA representative.
