Kids First Australia welcomes new CEO

Kids First Australia has announced the appointment of Nicole as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a comprehensive recruitment process that attracted over 100 applicants.  

“It is my great pleasure to announce on behalf of the Board of Kids First Australia, that Nicole Artico will be stepping into the role of Kids First’s new CEO, effective 2 September,” said Kids First Australia President Sandy Forbes. 

Nicole, who has been acting in the role since July, previously served as the organisation’s Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO, playing a pivotal role in its growth over the past four years. 

According to Forbes, the selection process, led by an independent consultant, involved rigorous screening, interviews, and candidate presentations to a selection committee. Nicole stood out due to her extensive experience and deep commitment to the values of Kids First Australia. 

Nicole’s background in leadership within the youth justice and client services sectors aligns with the organisation’s mission.  

The board has expressed confidence that her leadership will help amplify the positive impact Kids First has on the lives of children, young people, and families across the country. 

The team is looking forward to working alongside Nicole, as they continue their efforts to support vulnerable communities and ensure Kids First remains a trusted partner in Australia.
