Key not-for-profit to speak at Community Law and Regulation Conference

With the inception of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) only six months ago, and the recent launch of the governance standards and financial reporting, Lavarch will discuss what the regulatory body has achieved to date and the direction it will take in the future.

In light of Australia’s late adoption of an independent charity commission compared to other developed countries, Lavarch will make comparisons between the ACNC and international regulatory bodies to identify how they have adapted over time and what the ACNC garner from their learnings.

Lavarch will also examine the outcomes from the inaugural survey into public trust and confidence in charities in Australia.
