ANZ as Group Executive Talent and Culture is delighted to announce Kathryn van der Merwe will be taking on the position as Chair of Workplace Giving Australia Employer Leadership Group (ELG) effective August 2022. Kathryn is the Group Executive, Talent & Culture and Service Centres at ANZ.
Kathryn has a wealth of experience in the corporate sector and at the intersect with philanthropy. As a committed champion of workplace giving she has already had tremendous impact within her own organization and in influencing others to follow suit. The ELG and its members are looking forward to the benefits her involvement as Chair will bring.
Kathryn van der Merwe joined ANZ as Group Executive Talent and Culture in May 2017 before expanding her role to also cover the ANZ Services in 2021. Kathryn is also ANZ’s Executive Sponsor of Workplace Giving, Volunteering and its Reconciliation Action Plan.
Prior to joining ANZ, Kathryn worked for Bain & Company, where, over her 14-year career she focused on leading business transformations, strengthening organizational culture and capability, and in developing and delivering change strategies to improve performance and facilitate sustainable growth.
