Enhancing the conference experience – Brisbane Convention & Exhibition goes mobile

Share

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is a leader when it comes to setting benchmarks. As the first convention centre in Australia to introduce a permanent speakers’ presentation centre and a carbon calculator for events, BCEC has now launched new mobile and online platforms, which marks yet another first for the innovative venue.

A new virtual tour, which provides users with a simulated ‘real life’ walk through of the venue, level by level, means users can get a feel for what their next event will be like.

After only a few weeks live, the virtual tour has gained positive feedback from those looking to choose a venue for their next event.

To further assist in providing the ultimate conference experience, stage two of the BCEC live app – an intuitive and easy to use navigation tool – has been launched. Including precinct attractions, facilities, services, centre directions and wayfinding technology, which ensures visitors can easily find the best way to their event, the app makes the conference experience hassle free.

So that event organisers can plan menus with ease, BCEC has developed an online menu planner that is accessible at any time and can be shared with colleagues and clients. Developed by a team of experienced and award winning chefs who are dedicated to creating menus using the best local and seasonal produce available, this tool couples quality menus with efficiency. The online planner was developed in response to evolving catering trends, research and shared feedback from guests over the past 12 months.
