Diabetes Victoria is tackling the rising cost of diabetes with business technology to reap benefits for people who suffer from the chronic disease.
Since launching its new website three months ago, Diabetes Victoria has said it is on track to inject $200,000 annually into research and education as it integrates its back office operations with its online community.
Diabetes Victoria Chief Financial Officer, Lalith Abeysena said online transactions and clothing donations have increased by 20 per cent since installing OrchestraCMS, late last year.
“Additional annual costs savings are forecast to be $200,000 with the payback period of less than two years,” said Abeysena.
“Building on already healthy operating surpluses over the past few years, Diabetes Victoria is turning heads in the sector.
“We’re on a growth path. That’s music to everybody’s ears and that’s how we want to work in the future.”
Through its new website, Diabetes Victoria has the capacity to track all interactions with Victorians registered with the NDSS in order to help provide them with a personalised service.
Stantive Technologies Group’s CEO, Doug Girvin said Diabetes Victoria’s initial growth was a “powerful story” for not-for-profit organisations.
“Diabetes Victoria has accelerated their ability to deliver real services to their community and tangible, dollar-based results to their organisation,” said Girvin.
