The new supplier directory enables not-for-profits (NFPs) to find local information technology (IT) suppliers, consultants and solution providers who have been endorsed by other NFPs organisations.
CEO of Connecting Up, Anne Gawen says the directory will leverage the most important asset in the sector. “Trust is essential in the NFP sector. When resources are limited, organisations need to know that they’re going to get the support they need from someone who understands them. An IT supplier may have the best prices, but if an organisation doesn’t trust them, they will look elsewhere,” says Gawen.
IT providers listed in the directory will be able to request endorsements from organisations they have worked with – these will appear in search results and on the supplier’s listing. Endorsed suppliers will be ranked at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels depending on the number of endorsements they receive.
“We believe that IT suppliers who serve the sector should be recognised. The trusted rating system provides suppliers a way to demonstrate their work with the sector and show that they can be trusted to deliver a quality service,” says Gawen.
“Because the endorsements are coming from their peers, NFPs can be confident that endorsed suppliers have a history of working with the sector.”
Launched with over 300 listings, the directory also includes an online question and answer forum for NFPs to engage directly with listed suppliers.
