Blueprints for social change

Caritas Australia, together with AusAID, is showing the Blueprint for a Better World travelling display around Australia, which highlight the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) that have been created in response to the world’s main development challenges.

Currently on display in Fremantle, Caritas says that the multimedia exhibition focuses strongly on development programs in Papua New Guinea, Cambodia, and Africa; aims to provide a practical face to the eight Millennium Development Goals; as well as raising awareness about indigenous Australian health issues and the importance of achieving the goals in relation to health in our region.

The exhibition comprises video, photographs, and visual installation, as well as contributions (such as posters, baskets, school books, readers) from Caritas partner communities.

Each MDG is presented as a blueprint for positive social change in our world.

The exhibition is currently on display at Prindiville Hall at Fremantle’s Notre Dame University until 20 July, after which it will visit Geraldton, Port Augusta, Adelaide and Ballarat.
