Applications open for 2014 community grants programs

Applications are now open for a number of 2014 community grants, offered by Australia Post, the National Library of Australia and NRMA Insurance.

Australia Post is calling on community groups and charitable organisations to apply for an Our Neighbourhood Community Grant to fund local projects that support those in need and improve local neighbourhoods.

Now in its second year, the Our Neighbourhood Community Grants program offers one-off cash payments of up to $10,000. Grants will be funded by the newly established Our Neighbourhood Trust, Australia Post’s public charitable fund, as well as funding directly from Australia Post.

Applications close on 4 April 2014.

The National Library of Australia is offering grants of up to $15,000 through its 2014 Community Heritage Grant program. These are available to community groups across Australia to help preserve and manage locally held, nationally significant cultural heritage collections of documents and objects for future generations. Applications, which should be submitted online, close on 2 May 2014.

The 2014 NRMA Insurance Community Grants program is also now open. This program provides grants of up to $5,000 to community projects in the areas of crime prevention, road safety, emergency readiness and response and the environment.

Applications are open until 31 March 2014.
