The Geelong region is defined by the boundaries of the City of Greater Geelong, the Borough of Queenscliffe, the Surf Coast and Golden Plains shires.

Grants are generally for a one-off activity that can be completed within 12 months, however, the Foundation will consider applications for projects that have a two-year life span, with a maximum annual grant of $25,000 and no continuing support implied. Applications will also be accepted for a discrete part of a larger project.

Grant recipients will be announced in June 2013.
