nib foundation will be giving away grants between $5,000 to $50,000 to eligible charities with DGR status.
Applications for nib foundation’s eighth annual community grant funding round will be open from 1 to 30 June 2016.
The grants are intended to support community based initiatives that foster improved health and wellbeing outcomes for vulnerable and at risk groups, in both metropolitan and regional areas of Australia.
nib foundation Executive Officer Amy Tribe said, “Carers and young people were identified as our key target groups when the foundation was first established. These are two cohorts where we believe our support can make a real difference whether that’s by trialling new and improved approaches, delivering targeted and age-appropriate programs, or building capacity to cope with health challenges,” said Tribe.
“Together with our partners, we have played a key role in improving the health and wellbeing of more than 45,000 Australians who have participated in the programs we fund. We are excited to see what this year’s applications offer and look forward to working with the successful candidates to continue to increase our reach and impact.”
Since its establishment in 2008, nib foundation has committed over $15 million in funding to more than 95 partnerships.
