The funding was announced by the Minister for Mental Health, Women’s Affairs and Community Services Mary Wooldridge as part of the Coalition Government’s commitment of $4 million over four years to support the development and delivery of projects that improve the mental health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex young people.
To be eligible for one of the grants, each worth up to $40,000, organisations must promote strength in young people and help eliminate stigma and discrimination.
