Not-for-profit leaders now have the opportunity to be rewarded for the great work they do with the Third Sector Awards, showcasing the very best in the NFP sector and celebrating leadership for social purpose.
With eight award categories ranging from ‘CEO of the Year’ to ‘Emerging Leader of the Year’, each award will be judged based off the key values: Social Impact, Outcomes Measurement, Social Innovation, Collaboration and Leadership.
Running in partnership with the Centre for Social Impact and endorsed by the ACNC and the AICD, who will each have a senior representative official on the judging panel, the awards recognise NFP best practice from an unbiased and objective point of reference.
“The Third Sector awards are designed to acknowledge and celebrate the great achievements and impact the executives and emerging leaders of the NFP industry have on the community, society and the environment we live in,” said Ori Danieli, General Manager, Third Sector.
“We are proud to be partnering with the Centre for Social Impact, which is recognised for its leading research capabilities in this space. We believe this partnership gives the Awards the credibility and prestige we are looking for.”
Centre for Social Impact’s Education Director, Associate Professor Leanne Piggott said, “Social purpose is the common theme that unites everyone working in the third sector. It’s at the heart of everything we do. Every day, there are huge successes in the work that gets done: achievements with leadership from unexpected places, and small ideas that lead to big impact and improve the lives of many. With the Third Sector Awards, we can acknowledge that work, and importantly, acknowledge the individuals who are doing it”
“At the Centre for Social Impact, one of our focuses is on developing leadership for social purpose because we know that this is one of the most important keys to achieving social impact. We’re proud to be partnering with one of Australia’s most respected social sector publications to produce the Third Sector Awards, the first awards to honour the people who are achieving social change,” she said.
Nominations for the awards are open 13 June – 1 August, with the Awards taking place as a part of the Third Sector LIVE conference and expo.
