PANDORA has announced a new charitable initiative, enabling PANDORA’s online customers to reuse packaging to give everyday necessities to Australian women in need.
From Thursday 1 June, all customers who purchase from the official PANDORA online store will receive a postage paid label addressed to one of the participating charity partners. This will allow customers to fill the box with unused items and send the parcel free of charge to women’s charities based in Victoria (Safe Steps Community Giving, Melbourne), New South Wales (Women’s Community Shelters, Sydney) and Queensland (Friends with Dignity, Brisbane).

Through our DO CARE initiative we are humbled to partner with our customers to support the important work that is being done by these charities,” said Mhairi Holway, VP of HR, PANDORA Australia and New Zealand.
In Australia there are many women in need; women escaping violence, addiction and homelessness. Such is their struggle that even the most basic necessities have become luxuries.
“Most of us have unused items at home we can spare such as non-perishable food and drinks, unused toiletries, first aid supplies, gift cards and more, but many people are unaware of how valuable they are to women in need or unaware of where to send them. Using our online store packaging seemed like a fantastic way to make it simple and easy for our customers to send these products to where they are needed most,” said Mhairi.
Launched as a trial in late 2016, the DO CARE initiative is said to have received a significant response from PANDORA customers, with hundreds of customers from across Australia using the packaging to send care parcels to the charities. Following the successful trial, the brand is rolling the initiative out on a national scale.
